LOCKDOWN
MANCHESTER
Covid-19 Pandemic (27/03/20)
On this beautiful spring afternoon, the streets of Manchester City Centre, dispossessed of its citizens and vehicles, resembled a giant post apocalyptic film set. The eerie silence and stillness only punctured by the sound of a Metrolink tram or distant shouting. The few people still on the streets appeared to be a handful of office workers, city centre residents visiting food shops and most noticeably rough sleepers. Now that the majority of people have gone… Manchester’s homeless problem seems to have come into sharp focus.
